This guy has to be the most upscale busker I have seen. I bought a box of poems and he let me take his picture. Note the vintage typewriter and the meticulous attention to the detail of his display.
Gone Mirrorless: I’m now shooting with a Nikon Z7ii and 3 Z lenses.
I strolled down Massachusetts Street in Lawrence yesterday to try out the 35mm Z 1.8 prime. Here is one of my favorite shots.
More Backlit Iris
The sun was almost down and almost directly behind these flowers.
Front and Back Lighting
My sister and I visited her friend, Mark Brooks, at his farm. Mark is a world-class iris gardener. He showed us his iris, and we tried to photograph them. I used a 200mm micro nikkor on my D850.
Front lighting is easier to manage and gives a classic flower look.
But back lighting can be more dramatic if you can get it right. (I usually did not, but I made a lot of attempts.)
Mountain Skies
They’re just different (as in prettier). The clouds look more three dimensional to me. This shot was taken at the Will Rogers Shrine on Cheyenne Mountain. Pikes Peak is small in the background.
Colorado Sky and Lake at Broadmoor
Broadmoor, Colorado Springs
Cindi and I were fortunate to visit this resort for the ALAS convention. We had a spectacular time. I took a lot of photos. Here is the “Party Like It’s 1979” party.
